down there in the valley that they call Five Mountains
down there, down there, i'm gettin' old
where the water flows easy and slow in the fountains
down there my stories are told
ooh, going down the the valley
goin' all the way
ooh, going down to the valley
early in the day
down there in the valley where no-one knows me yet
down there, down there, i'm goin' down
down there in the valley i'll remember and forget
down there with brandy and wine
maybe you will never see me again
but you'll hear the bells a-ringin'
maybe you will never see me again
but you'll hear all the songs that i've been singin'

This is one of the strongest albums by Stanley Brinks and this alone speaks volumes about its quality and merits, since Mr. Brinks's material is always great. The Wave Pictures are doing a terrific job as his backing band and the results are simply breathtaking. This has so many merits that a simple review can not cover. His voice sax and guitar sound is distinctive, yet I find that fans of Hefner, Jonathan Richman, Velvet Underground, Violent Femmes will certainly enjoy this immensely. Vassilis Gonis
