i'm always scared stiff
to get in and out of a skiff
but the boys took me out for a ride
in a park, on a pond

i closed my eyes to feel the ocean breeze
but when i opened them again we were surrounded by trees
the sun was high in a cloudless sky
sheltered from the wind, we let the day go by

sometimes i've got one, sometimes i've got two
sometimes it's six, sometimes it's you

thank you for the good times
it's good to have you by my side

the sun baked me, the sun touched me
my head ached and felt like a mushy pea
they scratched a match, i had to catch a train
they didn't catch a crab when it started to rain

that heyday sent me back to Norway
a hell of a way away
when i jumped and swam in a clear blue sea
it was just the boys and me

on a jag we jammed with Russian pirates
i stayed with the group like a lioness
but up in the crow's nest i spotted a cop
we danced the swing, and couldn't stop

we saw a purple crocodile
the moonshine got us high
when later i was sick on the ferry
the boys took good care of me
